Amanda K. Miller was born and raised in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Since then, she has been all over the world sharing her love of dance and choreography. In 1992 Amanda founded Pretty Ugly Dance Company, an inter-disciplinary performing ensemble in Germany. Amanda Miller has won numerous awards and had been an educator for many years. In 2012 Amanda located to Birmingham, where she continues to work as a freelance choreographer, opera director, instructor, performer and created inter-disciplinarian improvisational workshops.
Rob Clifton is a 3rd generation Rob Clifton. He Likes pizza, Good People and casseroles. He learns from his 2 dogs. Rob carries a spider stick on long voyages in the summer woods. He enjoys talking about fragmentation and brokenness and the beauty that emerges from these things. Rob Clifton is a triangle.
As part of “East Lake After Hours,” Amanda Miller and Rob Clifton will create a collaborative dance theatre piece called “Made-To-Measure-Myth” in the Estate Liquidators Dance in Public Places venue. They will be meet from 5:30pm-7:30pm Monday October 26th through Friday, October 30th and 10am-12pm Saturday October 31.
